Hey, I liked Gerald Ford as well as the next guy. But here we are on what was supposed to be the tail end of government and banking holidays, and now another -- the president has declared a national day of mourning. Hey, at least it's Ford, and not Carter! Now that would surely be something worth mourning about!
But the bank deal-- how are normal people supposed to carry on their business when for two weeks in a row we have so many bloody bank holidays? Or the government offices? I guess this is great if you are employeed by these stifling bureaucracies, but for those of us who really have to get normal things done in life, it's just a stinking hassle.
Nothing against Ford. I mean I'm a little sad his life is over. I respected the man quite a bit. But I don't know him -- really anymore than I know any major public figure, so his impact on my life is very miniscule. I mean if I died, would he blink, know, or care? And there are a lot of other people I might actually like better than him, if only I knew them, who die daily!
Let's get moving. Let's stop having these nuisance government, and hence banking -- why??? I mean really -- why do banks rush to take off everyday they can? Is there such a parallel between banks and government?
Banks are always clamoring for more business. Well try staying open once in awhile!!!
